original watercolor painting cards
A custom card... poor Mark fell down steps, broke his eye socket and nose... thus the cracked helmet. The client chose the wording on the front, and on the inside I added "maybe wear a helmet next time?" to tie it all together. Dawn painted the chiefs helmet in water color, I added silver and red embossing to the helmet as accents to the face guard and logo.
I painted the balloons, mounted them with pop dots to add a lot of dimension.
Dawn was playing around and painted these pretty flowers, so I used it on a birthday card.

Flowers and candles
Here are some of my flower arrangements. All of them were designed in vintage glassware or vases with a prior life, and some made use of old shells and marbles. The flowers in clear glasses are anchored with "fake" water, and many people ask if they're fresh.
On the top window sill: a heart card that dawn painted in watercolor, a candle holder, and a small candle holder created with leftover modeling clay on glass.

I'm excited to post a few new pictures! I wish we had a better camera... these were taken with a blackberry phone and really can't do the colors justice.

Dawn painted these beautiful koi martini glasses. I painted the others that you see here.
All of the glasses were bought second-hand, and some we dug out of storage... now they have a new life!
Here are some of the glasses from the top. You can see the wine glass charms on the lower shelf... and under the glass, water color hearts by me and dawn. The stemware charms were created with beads that dawn and i had in both of our old stashes of jewelry making supplies. The shells were collected from dawn's travels. We left some natural and others were painted. The only thing we bought new was the wire.

Scooter Painting
Yesterday was my birthday. It was a relaxing, wonderful day. I want to show you what Dawn painted for me -- in watercolors! She's so talented and I'm very proud of her.
These two cuties are our only transportation... I ride the green Vino, she rides the blue Zuma. What a perfect birthday gift!
